The first church of Angyalföld was the Church of Our Lady of Carmel Hill, consecrated in 1899 in the presence of Franz Joseph I. The mother of our King Louis the Great, Anjou, was the confessor of a former Carmelite monk, the order was established by the king in Hungary.
