Don't expect a very wide range of products, but the central location and extensive opening hours make it a life-saver.
Oh, and avoid the very last minutes before the closing, it's always crowded.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I heard about the Hungarian racism against non-white visitors of their country, just didn't expect to experience it in a big supermarket chain. No coincidence to be faced with disrespectful rejection by two different members of staff when I asked for help in English! I always managed to find help in all the countries I visited and made the effort to say things in the local language except for Spar supermarket in Budapest. And anyway, it's a small supermarket with a rubbish selection of groceries. This is a supermarket fit for a backwards third world country. Never going to use a Spar again.

But not the cleanest or the cheapest you could expect and there are often a wait at the cashiers.
Still, you can find what you are looking for let it be just some freshly baked yummies, everyday food or just a quick snack.
Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You wont find all products you want and you can also find cheaper supermarkets offering same products. But what is good about it that they have many branches all over Budapest and I guess outside it. Customer service and long queues are very tiring and hectic.
