★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I only have an arrival experience on this airport. It was smooth and fast, baggage arrived right after going into the building. You shouldn’t expect much from the facilities, but they are generally good for the purpose.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An airport where people don't want to work. I have chek-in online. I was sent a message that my flight was delayed for an hour and a half, and therefore I arrived at the airport with this fact in mind, an hour and a half before the actual departure (and I didn't have to check in at the airport, because i did it online). But as it turned out, the security control staff went home and no one can check on me in control. This is the first time in my experience as a traveler. I had a lot situation when people were late for a lot of time and the staff helped and did everything possible for their customers. There is no such thing here. As a result, I and several other passengers were unable to fly to another country. Shame

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very small airport. Single flight at a time. Very small Duty Free with not much to buy. There is a small place to buy coffee snacks and sandwiches but no actual restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ And again a terrible check at the airport. They have no standards and just go with the flow. If the guys at the security check have a bad day you will feel it. Been flying from this airport since the beginning and it is always a mixed experience. Last week it was rather good but this week it is just a bunch of incompetence all together. So sad!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a relatively small airport. Staff was helpful with us and can't complain. Buffet prices are reasonable too. In the end of the day it's just an airport.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small regional airport. There was only one (!) passport control desk working for all of the passengers and it created a huge queue of course. Even this desk stopped working after some kind of techy issue. After waiting for an hour they decided to open the rest of the desks. Finally. The airport itself is really small, some staff members don't speak English. The only cafe closes at 7 pm as the whole airport isn't operated 24 hours. There's only one ATM (outside). There're no exchange kiosks. Some of the vending machines aren't working properly. Wi fi is working at least.
Update 2022. The airport service was slightly improved, thus adding a star. The staff is friendly and tries to assist in case of issues.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a really small airport, the staff is nice however has an AWFUL transport system associated. By public transportation you need to walk 25 min and only then you'll be able to catch a bus that will take you to the center of Debrecen (or to the train station that will allow you to go to Budapest).
