Their first church was built in 1910 on Attila Square. A significant event in the recent history of the church is that in the garden of Peter Peter, Dr. Szilárd Keresztes, the county bishop, founded an independent parish in 2001 and built the city's second Greek Catholic church in honor of the archbishops St. Peter and Paul.
