A szobor bronz talpára erősített lemezen a következő felirat olvasható: "Szétrombolta a második világháború, helyreállították a diósgyőri MÁVAG dolgozói, 1948. Szabó László, Holló Antal".
A talpazat két oldalsó és hátsó felületébe az elesettek neveit vésték bele.
The inscription of the statue is: "Dedicated to those Sons of Diósgyőr village who have died for the nation between 1914 and 1918."
On the bronze base of the statue the following text can be read: "Destroyed by the Second World War and the workers of MÁVAG in Diósgyőr were restored, 1948. László Szabó, Antal Holló".
The two side and back surfaces of the pedestal are covered with the Names of the Fallen.
The inscription of the statue: "Diósgyőr village for the sons of a hero who died for his homeland 1914-1918".
The following inscription can be read on the plate attached to the bronze base of the sculpture: "It was destroyed by the Second World War, restored by the workers of MÁVAG in Diósgyőr, 1948. László Szabó, Antal Holló".
The names of the fallen were engraved on the two side and back surfaces of the pedestal.
