★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice restaurant with cozy atmosphere. Food is simple but original with good taste. It is a taste that can heal home sick. Apart from the „don“ they have, the matcha is also highly recommended. If you come to Budapest and you happen to be a fan of Japanese food, this is the restaurant that you definitely cannot miss.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The donburi is really delicious, as well as the nikuman and the miso soup. The service was nice and quick, however portions could be bigger. Definitely go for the bigger donburi if you are hungry. They offer 10% discount for students and accept credit card and Szép Kártya as well. We went there on a Thursday evening at 18:00 and the place was half full. The variety is not too big, you can only choose the topping of the donburi (pork, beef and vegetarian).

The Hungarian staff speaks excellent Japanese :)
The box,cups, chopsticks and spoons are disposable. It’s not eco-friendly at all, i hope they will change it in a better way :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Price range: 1200-1600ft for small/big size (with already -10% student discount). Taste is very good. Typical Japanese sticky rice (stickier than the average rice here in Budapest) with meat (can be pork, chicken or beef curry). I found some dishes a bit sweeter than usual, but it only comes down to personal preference.
One problem is that the portion is only slightly enough for a meal, even for the bigger size.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So good to be here! Don Doko Don Japan Bistro inside the Budapest is definitely a 10-star for me! The food is "Nagyon nagyon finom!" where you can choose from their multiple menu. The place is comfy, clean, and naturally aesthetic! The ambiance inside the restaurant is amazing, with some japanese music and stuffs! Bring your family and friends in this place, I am sure you'll get more connected with them. ?
