Culinary delight. Most gracious hosts and fantastic cooks. True local food prepared and served to perfection. Something not to miss.

Really fun experience. The food was beautiful, the hostess was very welcoming. Great way to have wonderful food and meet new people!

Lovely evening with delicious food and interesting people. 3 hours flew by. Suzie was a great host.

Just a delight. Suburban garden, extraordinary company (A British Rocket Scientist, an American music manager, a brilliant young college student, friendly people from Finland, the US, Britain. The food is like your grandma would have made if she went to the Harvard School of Cooking.

Such a fun evening in Budapest! I would highly recommend this as a way to meet new people and try delicious Hungarian food in a beautiful setting.

Not reviewing food but for how this was handled. I am not reviewing food because we did not eat with Suzie and her family. We started our communications in December before my trip in June. She told me in December that she’d contact me first week in June. Suzie never emailed me first week in June to sort out. I had to email her and remind her. She responds thanking me of reminder, then emails me again telling me she is organizing the schedules and will get back to me asking to confirm my available days once again! I gave her 3 dates. I was only going to be in Budapest 3 days and 4 nights. We flew in on June 18th and was even going to give her that date to work with - even though we were so tired. Suzie’s Communication skills are terrible. She kept putting me off and ignoring my emails. We were celebrating our 39 anniversary and thought this would be a wonderful way to do so. Suzie gave me the impression she was going to have space for us since our communication started early to hold a spot. She also stated in one of her emails that she will make it work and she looks forward to meeting us, then she says no. I had emailed her again before leaving for Budapest since I wanted to organize other tours and plan the rest of my trip. I did not get an email until June 16 a day before my flight to Budapest telling us she couldn’t make it work for her schedule. I think I asked her too many times and she decided to say no to my husband and I. I never experienced such deceit and it was very phony of her to give impression all was fine then do that. She made us feel like we were being held hostage to her approval & we personally think she was not being truthful. My husband was very upset she did this since it also was a celebration of our first date 42 years ago, his 62 birthday and my 60th birthday.

Perfect place to spend time in nice company, learn something new about Hungary and its kitchen and, of couse, taste delicious home made food with Hungarian wine. Leave some space for a cake!
