Very helpful people,Tanuja madam is wonderful

I had a very akward experience and im only rating them poorly because of this. Maybe in another day they would service you really good i dont know. Security at gate and reception were super kind and friendly. But the woman who serviced me at waiting room was so dismissive it was really insulting. I dont even think she was indian. Felt like she was a local Hungarian assistant to deal with Hungarians. They probably assumed i was so sent her to talk to me. I said i had some questions about the visa to India and she said -"go online and read information" i told her i red online everythign i can find on their site but still had questions. She looked at me funny and said- "how can you have questions?". Seriously? how can you be so arrogant to say that to me. So im trying to explain the situation me and my mother are in and she kept dismissing me and trying to tell me everything is online. I tried i really tried to ask her some stuff but even my 1st question about the visa she kept brushing aside. I literally asked her straight up 3 times the same thing and she never aknowledged it. Her english was really good so i think she didnt know the answer and kept changing the subject. Even when i told her my country she had to ask somebody else if i can apply online so her lack of information made her very irritable and instead of saying i dont understand what you are asking she kept sending me online. And said if you have questions call us. But i told her the numbers on the website are wrong and dont work...ignored. So that was just super frustrating experience because it was obvious she didnt wanna talk to me and help me. Even though, that is her job and also there was only 1 woman with her son waiting for service so you cant even say the lady was pressured by a large que and wanted to move on. So even though i traveled all the way to the Indian embassy (which is far in budapest) i was met by a brick wall that just prevented me from getting information. If she could just listen to my questions and answered i couldve been done in 5-10minutes. I hope the other staff members are better as i said this is all based on my visit today and interaction with this one lady, so by no means i am saying they are all bad.

Very helpful and supportive staff, they keep organising many cultural activities and events.

I was first amazed by the place itself, second was politeness and willingness to help of the people working in the Embassy.

Staff are friendly and the place is clean and pretty. However, when I arrived for my appointment, I was told to wait indefinitely until I was called in, about 40 minutes by the time. Not just me, but everyone who came for their appointment in that time window had to wait in the heat. I understand that these are the precautions for these times, but they should seek for a better alternative. At least give us a waiting room?

Sent a email to enquire about some matter. S.Ramji (Second Secretary (Cons) & Head of Chancery @ Indian Embassy, Budapest) replied me asking for further details on my enquiry. Promptly provided him with information but he stopped responding subsequently. He paid no heed to reminder email as well. This guy is either caught up in gallivanting using Indian taxpayers' money or too stuck up to respond. Even a curt polite closure to my enquiry would have sufficed yet he didn't bother. Rubbish service! INCREDIBLE INDIAN!!!

As always it was an great yoga class with Babita. I really appreciate her method and willingness to help me to do all exercices correctly.

I met Mr S.Ramji (Second Secretary (Cons) at the Embassy after my wife and I had an unfortunate incident on train while traveling to Budapest - our backpack with passports and other valuables was stolen. Right from the beginning Mr Ramji was empathetic and very patient. He not only guided us through the process of getting the new passport but also ensured that the application for the same was submitted the same day, even though it meant that he had to stay back till 7 pm. Mr Ramji also made sure that we connected to right people who could help us in such a stressful situation (Shout out to Nikhil for being such a good Samaritan). Thanks to Mr Ramji and his team.
