Azoknak az Ajkára való átkerülését követően az első elképzelés szerinti megyei továbbképző központ nem valósult meg. Új meggondolások alapján szociális otthon létesítését határozták el az illetékesek. A tervezés során bebizonyosodott, hogy sem a főépület sem a melléképületek erre nem alkalmasak, így a műemléki hatóság akkori vezetőinek hozzájárulásával az udvar északkeleti sarkába új épületet emeltek, lebontva a kápolnát és az ahhoz vezető átjárót. Így elvágta a kastélyt parkjától, amellyel pedig eredetileg egységet alkotott.
A vörös-iszap katasztrófa nagy kárt okozott a parkban, kb 1 méter vastagságban borította be a parkot. A teljes rehabilitáció befejeződött, a föld teljes cseréjével.
In the years following the Second World War, when all the castle's furnishings disappeared, the buildings were vacant for a while before the district offices moved. After their transfer to Ajka, the first conceived county training center was not realized. On the basis of new ideas, the decision was made to establish a social home. During the planning, it was proved that neither the main building nor the outbuildings were suitable for this purpose, and with the consent of the leaders of the historic authority at that time, a new building was erected in the northeast corner of the courtyard. This way he cut the castle from its park, and with it originally formed a unit.
The red-mud catastrophe caused great damage to the park, covering the park about 1 meter thick. Complete rehabilitation is complete with the complete replacement of the land.
