★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a privilege to spend few months perambulating around this astonishing collage during my first semester as an international student, however that was taken away from me due to the pandemic. The institution is full of historical fascinating good fairy-tales good for both tourists and exchange students. It has an amazing view-site park good for relaxing and meditating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One day in 1761, Bishop called Ferenc Baróczky said to himself "what if I turn my seminary into University?" and first step for establishing Eszterházy Károly University was taken. Austrian architect Josef Ignaz Gerl said "say no more bro" and designed this breathtaking building. When his successor, Károly Eszterházy, wanted to add Medical faculty to EKE, and make it first University with 4 faculties in Hungary. Only female emperor of Habsburg empire, Maria Theresa, said "nope" because of the negative responses from Ferenc Baróczky.
Later in 1769 medical faculty was added. For some reasons Maria Theresa decided to revoke Eger's right to doctoral degree, which caused the closure of the institution in 1775. In 1774 teaching resumed.
