What a lovely way to discover Budapest, ambling around in a local un-touristy area, visiting a variety of quirky place with delicious treats, and listening to all the stories of Maté, who lived there many years and brings a quiet yet lively energy to the whole thing. He makes sure his tour is also a social experience where participants get to meet and chat with each other, which creates a memorable and cheerful atmosphere. Well done Maté, thanks a lot!

I cannot speak highly enough of Máté; he is an outstanding guide, incredibly knowledgeable and probably one of the friendliest people I've ever met. This tour provides the opportunity to try genuine Hungarian cuisine at its best while supporting family-owned and historical eateries, and every dish we were served was delicious. I would happily do the tour all over again, it was that good. Do not miss if visiting Budapest!
