Awful, just don't go really. First thing there is a smell of fried and bad food all over the place that accompany your stay , the server was just unprepared, unprofessional and rude, classic example of place that even though you live in a city they will always treat you (and bad) like the worst of the tourist.

It was terrible! Although, I write when emotions have already subsided. It was still terrible. Firstly, the smell of spoiled food at the entrance and the smell inside. I don't understand where it comes from, but the smell is strong and constant. Secondly, the waiters do not speak either English or German. And this is in a restaurant in the center of a European tourist city! But the menu was in English – and we ordered. Alas, there are 2 errors in the order of 5 items! And why? Because the waiter speaks neither English nor German! Now about the food. We ordered goulash. In my opinion, the restaurant manager and chef should be ashamed of the wonderful Hungarian cuisine. We have eaten Hungarian goulash before in different places, and I can say that here it is not goulash, but something very strange and absolutely tasteless. Instead of meat broth - water with spices, 2 small pieces of hard meat, and 2 potatoes. You call it goulash?! Next, we ordered one steak for two. They bring us 2 steaks! We are trying to explain, but.... the waiters speak neither English nor German. It's not clear how you can ruin a steak. It would seem that take a good piece of meat and put it on the grill. And it's not like that! You just have to take a spoiled piece of meat! And so that it is not immediately noticeable, you need to sprinkle spices abundantly. Now we understand where the smell comes from - bad meat! We didn't eat. The account came out at 25,000 HUF. We would gladly not pay and would like to refuse food and explain it, but.... the waiters speak neither English nor German. I'll repeat it. The manager and the chef should be ashamed! And we were supposed to get the money back. But alas…

If you're looking for quality food, a cozy atmosphere, and friendly service at the heart of the city center, this is a must-to-go place. They have a delicious daily business lunch menu besides a-la-carte. The owner is the chef as well, Ferenc Salai, who traveled a lot and worked abroad as well, learning the nuances of various kitchens, and you can find him on-site all the time, taking care of guests and staff. The design of the restaurant is charming and unique. One can find a fine-dining style inside in one room, a more casual one in another room, and an even more relaxed in the terrace. We're having lunch here for the last couple of weeks and never disappointed. I have to mention that this was the only place in the neighborhood, which stayed open during the Covid-19 situation, providing free food to all the people in need, and the owner still provides food to some hospitals in need. I highly recommend this place. The place was formerly known as Yiddishe Mamma Mia.

The worst restaurant / bar - however you call it in Hungary we’ve eaten at so far. Disgusting food, service didn’t give us kettles and forks, we’ve asked for starters they told us that they don’t have it anymore and table next to us got it without a problem even tho they came 10 minutes later. Waiter has thrown plates on our table, without saying anything, went to the table where kettles and forks are, looked at us and left. Worst experience in restaurant ever.

I never write reviews as Im not that picky, but this restaurant deserves a warning to any other customer thinking to visit. Unless you are heavily drunk and you barely see what you are eating, you can survive, otherwise everything starting from service to kitchen to payment is terrible. Food is served cold (probably microwaved) and service is disaster. When you are thinking to go to eat at this restaurant, you are probably going to eat what other customers returned the food back!

AVOID, this restaurant is Terrible. I ordered a Goulash soup as a starter, which was very good. As a main, I ordered a traditional Hungarian stew made with beans, boiled egg and slow cooked goose. As soon as they brought it to the table, I could see the appearance and smell wasn’t good, but when I tasted it, the meat was off. It had a smell and taste as if they reheated the same meat again and again until it went off. I asked them to take it back because it wasn’t fresh, and the boiled eggs had a black circle around the yolk as well… the chef came in person to tell me that he made the meat the day before, so it was fresh. I didn’t want to argue so I asked him to bring me something else. I then ordered a Wiener schnitzel with fries, and after 10 minutes they brought me BBQ ribs with mash potato… I didn’t want to wait again so I accepted the ribs… the smell and taste of the meat wasn’t good either, but since it had the BBQ sauce it was not as obvious that the meat was off… I ordered the bill and left. I only had still water and I paid 30 EUROS. I just hope I don’t have a stomachache tomorrow.
