★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to start learning French, especially if your native language isn't Hungarian! My teachers taught almost entirely in French, which was great for me as Hungarian is not my first language. I had both Hungarian and French teachers, each with their own unique teaching styles. I started with zero knowledge of French and took classes there for over year, completing the levels up to A2. Depending on your level, the groups can sometimes be a bit too crowded with not enough individual speaking time. It was a good experience to give me the basics of French before taking intensive courses. They host French film nights and other cultural events and also have a nice library. Overall, I'm very happy with my time at the French Institute.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful building on a scenic spot of Budapest. Home for movie presentations, French language courses and alike. Strengthening the French Hungarian friendship with exhibitions, presentations. The big red glass pieces must be marvellous in daylight.
