★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fine wines only 25 km from downtown Budapest?! I first heard of this winery at a wine tasting event, where I sampled their award-winning Cserszegi Fuszeres. I immediately knew there was something special going on at this winery. Since then, I try to visit at least once a year to stock up on their wines, which can be purchased in bulk in 2-liter plastic bottles for very reasonable prices. While I enjoy all their wines, the Cserszegi Fuszeres remains one of my favorites, and also enjoy their Cabernet Sauvignon and Kekfrankos, as well as their Olasz Rizling. My only complaint is that they are not open on weekends.
UPDATE: The winery is now open Saturdays from 8 to 12. They also now accept payment by credit card. Their wines are still amazing!
