On October 27, 2020, the statue in honor of George H. W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States, was inaugurated. He came to Hungary in 1989 and gave a memorable speech at the Kossuth statue, where he tore up his written speech under the cheers of the enthusiastic crowd and spoke to the people spontaneously.
