★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A monument to the Russian occupiers of Europe. I don't know how a monument with symbols of communism and occupants can stand in a country belonging to the EU and NATO. It should be demolished.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After the 2WW Hungary was forced under the Soviet Union's control. This square is called 'Freedom'. It says it all how beloved is this monument when there are cordons and guards 24/7.

Only one tyrannical regime was exchanged for another.
The monument is notable for being located in the "freedom" square, a great irony.
No freedom emanates from this memory.
Soviets/ communists never were "liberators" of anything.
