★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Farkasréti Temető bejáratának közelében van a Griff. Egyszerre félelmetes és felemelő lény. Veress Kálmán 2007-es szobra.
A felirat:
"A Griff egy hatalmas, csodás, oltalmazó lény,
oroszlántestű, sasszerű és -szárnyú teremtmény,
több mondavilágban emberfeletti hatalommal párosították.
Az etruszk, a római és görög szarkofágokon is megjelenik,
akik sírőrző szerepet tulajdonítottak neki
A kereszténység terjedésével sas jellegét hangsúlyozták,
így a mennybemenetel és a feltámadás szimbóluma lett.
Kettős természete révén Krisztus jelképnek is tekintették,
hiszen az oroszlán a földhöz, a sas pedig az éghez tartozásra utal.
"Krisztus oroszlán, mert uralkodik, és nagy erejű sas, mert feltámadása után felszáll a mennyekbe." /Sevillai Szt. Izidor/
 Griff is near the entrance to Farkasréti Cemetery. He is both an awesome and an uplifting creature. Statue of Kálmán Veress from 2007.
The caption:
"Griff is a huge, wonderful, protective being,
a lion-bodied, eagle-like and winged creature,
paired with superhuman power in several legends.
It also appears on Etruscan, Roman and Greek sarcophagi,
who attributed a tombstone to him
With the spread of Christianity, the character of the eagle was emphasized,
thus he became a symbol of ascension and resurrection.
Due to its dual nature, Christ was also considered a symbol,
for the lion refers to the earth, and the eagle to the sky.

Each cemetery has a designated place, statue, stone cross or memorial plaque where we can commemorate our relatives and loved ones who have died away and are buried elsewhere, and place a few strands of flowers or candles.
