The restaurant looks nice and has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and professional. We had to wait around 45 minutes for the food to arrive, which was slightly above normal, but the restaurant was completely full, so that may have played a part of it. We tried the "Smoked pork trotter with Strapacky" and the "Broiled catfish filet with roquefort grilled cheese, mixed fresh extra salad" and both were delicious. They were both better than what I previously had at some high-end restaurants. We will definitely return in the future.

Nice place especially for celebrations. Make sure to reserve a table as they tend to be very full. The service is quite good, however the table we were seated at was way too large, so the distance between the two of us was too big for a good conversation. The food was also good, however a bit overpriced for what you are getting. Nicely plated dishes, but fairly basic in content.

Gulliver's is one of Kispests local restaurants. It doesn't cater to tourists at all, all menus etc are in Hungarian, but all the items are illustrated with colour photos, including the "italap"/Wine list. With warm inviting Decor, with a weird schizophrenic vibe. Large tropical island beach paintings along with a beautiful 7 to 8 metre wide mural of the Austrian Tyrol at night, outdoor goldfish pond and a somewhat mediaeval feel with dark wood furniture and exposed beams etc. They serve mostly traditional Hungarian dishes, a few with a slight twist on traditional Hungarian and Pizza. On a Saturday they were quite busy, but lots of waiters, so we didn't have long to wait and dishes that we ordered arrived very promptly and were attractively plated. Serving sizes, like many restaurants in Hungary, are ridiculously large. We had the steak Tartare as entree and although not a traditional Tartare, was delicious and one serve was more than enough for 5 people with a large serving of salads left over for the main meal. We had the chicken Shashlik, wild boar stew, Vasi Pecsenye/Grilled Pork covered in a mountain of fried onions, and Morello Fruit soup with grilled chicken. Best dishes were the more traditional ones, Shaslick and the Pecsenye. The boar stew was on the sweet side for me. The baked cheesecake which three of us struggled to finish with our coffees was really excellent. Parking is available on the opposite side of the very busy road in the small shopping strip. I suspect the prices here are on the high side for locals and they had a mostly upmarket crowd when we were there, mostly dressed for an occasion. Very affordable for us (Australians) costing 25,000 Forints for 5 Adults with drinks and tips. We'll be back again!

Only sit-down restaurant around serving Hungarian food, sadly they are very rude to non-native speakers. After being escorted out the front because they want you to enter from the side, I stood for a long time trying to find any staff to ask about seating. After finally walking through 3 seating areas, I approached a waiter to ask about seating, he shook his head yes and replied only in Hungarian. I asked to speak with someone who can speak English he finally rudely answered "I can" dismissively looked up and down and said "we are full". Seems like the place requires a reservation and the dress code is semi-formal. Sadly not tourist-friendly.

Considering that is in capital city of Hungary their prices are reasonable, and their food is very delicious, and big portions. Would fully reccomend them, personally I will wisit them again.

Gulliver is a great restaurant with excellent service and a fantastic atmosphere. It was our first time here and we will definitely be back. They food is great and the staff are very friendly. I ordered the vegetarian pizza which was very good but the crust was a bit too hard but overall very good and we recommend this restaurant.
