The food is pretty good and so is the service.

Food was pretty good but they ripped us off. They have this deceptive practice of listing a dish on the menu for one price and when you get the bill it is a higher price. What happened to us for example was the following: We all ordered dinner / main courses. I got the Pork Medallions cooked with peppers, tomatoes and potatoes listed including all these things on the menu for 3000 Forints. When the bill came the dish was actually 3600 Forints. I inquired and they told me the potatoes, peppers and tomatoes were a "garnish" and as such incurred an extra charge. This was the same case with all 4 of our meals. VERY DECEPTIVE and a down right rip off where I come from. I will never go back out of principle. BTW this extra charge was not a cover charge as I asked if they had a cover charge before ordering and they said "no" but none-the-less they figured out another way to stiff us.

We tried the Mushroom soup Hungarian style, Cheese in breadcrumbs and Salmon with butter (can't remember the name) and it was all delicious! The waiter was really nice, I would recommend eating at Nótafa !

I think here is popular for locals. Food was good. 1 portion was extremely big. Price is also good. Its little far from city center though.

Good food, friendly place. 4 stars only because the place it self could be renovated.

The atmosphere of the place resonates to the mood of the 1900’s Hungary with its interior and menu. One can find a great number of traditional Hungarian dishes along with international selections. The garden terrace on the backyard is open during summer and quite nice. Food is delicious, portions are big. Drink selection is poor. Prices are bit higher than local average. We couldn’t pay by card.

Incredible authentic and honest hungarian food, worth a trip for foreigners too. The staff is very helpful and there is an english language menue existing. The web page contains the entire menue that you can translate easy online. If you like to experience the original real Budapest neighborhood, this is the place.
