Highly unfriendly and impolite staff, a blonde girl and a tall dark-haired guy. I tried to shoot a small video of the kurtoskalacs in the stove (no staff was caught on the video) from behind the queue, where I did not see the sign "no picture". The staff rudely said something like delete it. Then the guy kept my money and did not give back a part of the change until I deleted 2 3-sec videos for him. 1. First, post the no photo sign somewhere where people can see it on the right side (when I mentioned that, the young lady found a second sign somewhere inside the kiosk and started saying something to me in Hungarian while having it on her face and dancing). 2. Learn how to be polite with the customers, you could have just asked "please be kind delete the video because...". 3. Give a reason for no photo. Is there any secret ingredient? I don't believe so, it's done in many places, and you literally make it on public. Your staff does not like to be on public? How do they serve people and don't die of hate? 4. Learn some decent English words to communicate with the customers. This was the rudest scenario I ever seen in my life. Two rude youngsters ruined the experience of a tourist with their offensive behavior.

A little street kiosk where to buy Kürtőskalács, one of the traditional Hungarian sweet; unfortunately this one is not cooked the traditional way but is still good and a sweets to try, is not expensive.

This shop doesn't have a cooking oven therefore chimney cakes aren't freshly made. Not very warm and rather soft. I'll try somewhere else next time!

Ok taste, cooked with electric oven rather than classical fire-cooking. So be advised it's not the "real" taste. Extremely rude staff and they charged us the tourist price, not the usual one so we paid double sum. Rather go to the one inside the Deak Ferenc ter subway station, cheaper (only one price) for the same cakes. Or search for some shop that makes them the bbq style but DONT PAY 2000 HUF for them !

Rudest staff I have ever encountered. The cakes are not fresh and very soft, mine was squashed and after asking for another one I was told to walk away, I thought they didn’t understand me so I asked again, I was then gestures to walk away. Very rude staff do not visit. Many other places cook the cakes fresh and for the same price.

Great spot for chimney cakes! Problably cheapest ones in whole Budapest - only 350 huf compared to 1500-2000 huf everywhere else. Very good quality. Freshly baked. You can taste a little bit of lemon zest in the dough. Vanila and coconut with chocolate are my favorites.

We visited this place during lunch time. The chimney cake we received wasn't warm. Therefore it didnt taste that good. Cannot recommend.
