This Hotel is very good

It looks very good from the outside.

Nice clean tidy.The room is very warm or 40 degrees was indoors immediately had to buy a fan.If 34 degrees is outside unbearable air in the room.Maximum service only thanks to all workers for it.

The environment is magnificent, the parks, the playground for the children. It is improved a lot. The building, on the other hand, was getting weaker So far it was social, but we accepted it. Unfortunately, the disadvantages were the changes. They removed all hangers and hangers, there was no single free socket (there are 3 in total, one for the TV, one for the fridge, and the third one can be released), the bathroom has not seen domestos for years. The 3-bed room has 2 single beds folded in, but the edge is so hard that sitting around it guarantees purple spots, the third (not an extra bed !!!!) is an open armchair. And that's why they ask for the full price! The purity is average and there is a fridge and tv which is positive. Unfortunately, the quality is constantly deteriorating.

The food was polite, fast, delicious, and last time the lettuce was a little sandy. In the past, deep-fried fillet was very delicious, but unfortunately it was removed from the menu.

The resort of the Hungarian Armed Forces dates back centuries. On November 14, 1917, the capital of Budapest bought a 30-hectare property on the border of Balatonkenese. The area came into the possession of civil servants in the capital. In 1923, the garden house and the engine house were handed over for the first time, and in 1924 the first hostel building was handed over according to the plans of Gyula Lavotta, technical adviser, together with 80 rooms and a restaurant suitable for 300 people. The construction of two more hotels was in progress from 1928. In September 1939, the filling of the shore and the permitting and construction of shore defenses were completed. With the completion of the works, the new beach and port were formed. In October 1944, the retreating Hungarian troops established a hospital here. After the liquidation of the hospital, a German corps led by German Lieutenant General von Both camped here from November 1 to December 1944, and then the vacated hotels served as refugees. The war caused less damage to the buildings and more damage to the interior. After the restoration, it operated as a resort. In the fall of 1949, a government-level decision handed over the resort for use by the Army. On June 5, 1950, the first guests were received. The rest was still in its infancy at the time. Initially, morning gymnastics was mandatory, and guests also had to appear at a press read. Until the 1960s, the resort was mainly open only in summer. The process of increasing winter occupancy began in the early 1960s. Demand for holidays increased, and the management at the time decided to develop the resort and expand the capacity. In the 80s, guests were able to use Hotel Napfény’s five-storey building and beach villas. Hotel Napfény has 50 rooms and 10 suites with a terrace offering beautiful views of Lake Balaton. The restaurant of the building functions as a venue for events in the low and high season, and as an a la carte restaurant in the high season.

Hotel in a dreamlike setting. We got a room with simple but more modern furniture. There is no climate, which in the heat is a problem for those who can not stand the heat. We only had a small wardrobe with 3 shelves for our clothes. In the absence of a clothes rack, we roamed the railing and garden chairs on the balcony. There are plenty of entertainment options in the hotel complex. In this respect, maximum +++!

The building is absolutely charming and classic. Interior and exterior renovations are currently being carried out in sections. Due to its location, the hotel is quite quiet overall, despite the railway line running behind it. The outstanding positive feature of the hotel is that it is extremely inexpensive, even with full board. The rooms are clean, big enough and basically furnished with the essentials. In a twin room there is only a small closet filled with extra blankets and a safe. In addition, there is a fairly noisy refrigerator and a desk. The beds have extremely thin mattresses, the slatted frame is clearly noticeable. The bathroom was absolutely gigantic. The bathtub was also a shower, unfortunately without a holder for the head and without any curtain, so that the bathroom was always flooded. During the 10 days of the stay, the garbage can was regularly clarified by the numerous service staff, and dust was also said. Linens weren't changed, beds weren't made. The extreme heating experience was formative. Heaters were on maximum so it was incredibly warm and overheated. In the absence of valves, they could not be regulated. Due to the large colony of crows right next to the hotel, sleeping with the window open was not good, but it was absolutely necessary. The hotel grounds are very large and spacious. It is largely consistent and designed in keeping with the style of accommodation combining 1970's charm with an older youth hostel. Everything is kept family-friendly. The dishes during the full board were served as a very hearty and richly filled buffet. Vegetarians will not find any specific offers, and fresh fruit and vegetables are also the exception rather than the rule.
