Z	Zsolt dr. Szilágyi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tisztelt Hivatal! Munkatársuktól az Info Rádióban többször elhangzott a Közép-Kelet-Európa kifejezés, amellyel hazánkra és a környező államokra utalt. Ezzel képzavart okozott, hiszen a magyar nyelvben is a pontosítást a kezdő szóval jelezzük, és aztán mondjuk a nagyobb tájegységet. Így a helyes elnevezése térségünknek Kelet-Közép-Európa! (Közép-Kelet-Európa Ukrajna közepén van!) Sajnos, más földrajzi név megjelöléssel is probléma van, melyeket az angol nyelvből, szolgai módon fordítottunk le. Példa erre a Közép-Kelet (Middle East, sajnos, ez a legújabb (12. kiadás) helyesírási szabálykönyvünkben is helytelenül szerepel), holott a magyar a németből származó Közel-Kelet (Naher Ost) megjelölést használja az Iránig terjedő ázsiai térségre (aztán Belső-Ázsia, majd Távol-Kelet, Fernost következik). Helyes viszont a Közép-Nyugat (Middle West) használata (ez hiányzik a szabálykönyvből), mert ezen az USÁ-ban az Appalache és a Sziklás hegységek között elterülő államokat értik. Jó lenne, ha ezeket a földrajzi neveket, munkatársaik kiadványaikban is helyesen használnák. Üdvözlettel dr. Szilágyi Zsolt Dear Office! The term Central and Eastern Europe was used several times by their colleague on Info Radio, referring to Hungary and the surrounding states. This caused a confusion, as in Hungarian the clarification is indicated by the first word and then we say the larger region. So the correct name for our region is Central and Eastern Europe! (Central and Eastern Europe is in the middle of Ukraine!) Unfortunately, there is also a problem with other geographical names, which we have translated from English in a slavish way. An example of this is the Middle East (unfortunately, this is also incorrect in our latest (12th edition) spelling rulebook), although the Hungarian uses the German term Middle East (Naher Ost) for the Asian region to Iran (then Inner -Asia, followed by the Far East, Fernost). On the other hand, it is correct to use the Middle West (this is missing from the rulebook) because in this USA they mean the states between the Appalachian and Rocky Mountains.
