Z	Zoltán Altstädler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ha az 1800-as évek végén jártunk volna erre, és éppen fotómasinával a kezünkben, akkor bizony megörökíthettük volna az Ilona-vár emeletnyi magasan álló toronymaradványát, annak is több emeletnyi magas falsarok-csonkját. Mára pedig ennyi maradt; a várhely maga, terepalakulatokkal, néhány kővel, egy-két előbukkanó szikla, és egy földcsuszamlás-szerű részen talán a kőfalak omladékát látni. A bronzkorban előbb a Hatvani-kultúra népe használja erődített lakóhelyként, majd a Füzesabonyi-kultúra népe, de az Árpád-korban a régi sáncba kővárat építettek a Csák nembeliek és innen dacoltak pár évig Károly Róberttel és híveivel, de még a második világháború idején is kialakítottak itt védelmi állást, jól nyomon követhető a falu felé néző oldalon a lövészárok vonala.
