A jelenlegi épület újkori, de felhasználták a középkori épület egyes részeit. Valter Ilona véleménye szerint a ... "templomot a XIII. század elején emelhették, amelyből még ma is áll a kváderkőből rakott és ikerablakokkal gazdagított torony. Felső szintjén kváderfalazású karzat található, amelynek boltozatát vörösre festették".
The first documented enlargement of the village dates from 1440, called Zentpether. which suggests the existence of a parish church. A record from 1659 describes a small, vaulted tower building. The current building is modern, but some parts of the medieval building were used. According to Valter Ilona, the ... "the church may have been built at the beginning of the 13th century, which still consists of a tower made of quadrangular stone and enriched with twin windows.
