Long waiting lines in the cold. A very nervous security guard who quarrels with customers; the type who should not be carrying a gun (as he does). We waited for more than an hour, only six (6) people were processed during that time, and then the staff inside decided to take a lunch break! What kind of people, and how many, are working there? In addition, this is not a first experience like this in this branch… This is not the way to treat your customers.

Long lines outside the building. Just putting cash in takes ~1.5-2 hours.... It's bad, even for a joke. And as a "bonus" their other locations do NOT deal with cash. What kind of a worthless bank can not deal with cash? Insanity.

Long time KBC and Knh Customer. The behavior of staff at this branch is horrible. After being asked to wait a long time outside without a ticket I was simply told to try another bank because they didn't want to deal with an English speaker. The security guard present around 10:15 2nd August was rude and should fired immediately along the rest of the lazy incompetent staff at this branch.

Have to wait in the bitter cold for 15 minutes plus. Customer service is slow as a snail. They have more than enough space to sit inside but won't let the customers come in. Worst bank branch.

This is a real shame that i as foreigner been client for 5 years work here as normal citizen have to wait outsite and Hungarian client can go in before me. well they can be proud of them selfs

Catastrophically bad attitudes as any type of service provider , it's unbelievable that next to monthly reduction, trasnfer fee , commission and so on you have to wait in cold outside for hours to deposit in your own account. Their other branches dont deal with cash and they dont have cashier , they came up with solution that you can deposit through ATM , no solution if you have Euro account as they don't hav that possibility, After i sorted out my issues and paper works defintly will look for another proper Bank.

Absolutely terrible experience. The one star is for the respectful security guard but the rest, the bank itself and the cashier I happened to interact with, won’t get even a single star. The cashier was rude, and the bank’s policy of not accepting an ID card or a driving license - both issued by the Hungarian Government, of course - as proof of identity for a small cash deposit is ridiculous. I’m glad that I’m not a customer of K&H and for sure I never will be. UPDATE: A few days later, I picked my passport (as I was told ID cards are not accepted as proof of identity) and visited another K&H branch near Deak to make a deposit. The cashier, to my surprise, asked for my ID and accepted my ID card (issued by HU govt., same card that was rejected by the Octogon branch!) as proof of identity!! Clearly there’s either no protocol in K&H or employees are given the option to decide for themselves what is and what’s not a legal proof of identity. My one star stays the same, I’d make it zero stars if it’s possible. it was a terrible experience and waste of time dealing with this bank. UPDATE 2: A year later, had to visit the Octogon branch again, and the experience was again horrible: If you have to visit this branch, expect to wait for at least an hour in queue OUTSIDE of the bank before you can enter and get a number, while there are few in the branch and there’s enough room for many more customers to enter and sit while waiting! And then do not expect anything other than absolute rudeness, incompetence from the employees. The best employee in this branch is the bank guard who is a respectful man and actually does his job.

I opened a account 3 months ago after 2 weeks in the account they closed it for no reason and froze the money, I tried to make a appointment, to settle it and take out my money, but the staff is very social pro communist era , they feel since they hold the money “ I owe them something. I tried talking to the hire ups in the K&H but not to much success, I advise everyone if you don’t want to get a heartache or more STAY AWAY and look for others, the managers and staff are horrible and disrespectful they make you feel as a *** , I advise for all to write to the Bank authorities of Hungary, and take out your money .
