About Kecskeméti Arborétum

Egzotikus, trópusi megjelenésű kis fa, mely Irántól Japánig a szubtrópusi területek határáig fordul elő vadon. A mimózához hasonló levelei éjszakára összecsukódnak. A megannyi selymes porzóból álló rózsaszín virágfejecskék júliustól nagy tömegben nyílnak, teljesen beborítva a fát.

Magyarországon sokáig üvegházban tartották féltve őrzött kincsként, mígnem pár évtizede egy jánoshalmi erdész kint felejtett egy csemetét, és az gyönyörű nagy fává nőtt. Forrás: Dr. Debreczy Zsolt (1973): Fák, bokrok /Búvár zsebkönyvek sorozat/

T	Thuggie Duckie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and quiet park with a variety of plants and trees to enjoy(you cannot pick them). Good place to walk and collect your thoughts. Tiny little church in the middle (If you can find it). Found a playground area and benches to relax under big trees. I loved it.

Although it is a botanical garden most of the signs and descriptions eroded in the past decade, tracks are neglected, they really should invest to this park especially in these days when we should use places like this for education and climate-awareness of the next generations. There will be a new viewpoint which was not the most important investment needed, but hopefully this is a start of a larger developmental process.
