★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was decent and cheap, so you can eat quite a lot without a big expense. The waiters didn't know English very well and were rather cold but that didn't necessarily bother me. The inside also has some interesting furniture and a real traditional vibe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good choice just the bottom of the Buda Castle. As the inside sign says: from the table of our grannies :) Traditional, very delicious, and it's even a bargain. Also very nice wooden design. I recommend for Hungarians and for Tourists as well. Open 24/7!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought it was good for being very old fashioned. Be prepared to speak Hungarian! Food was good, but could be warmer. Prices are reasonable. They closed early on a Saturday, which was very strange for business! I would go back, but bring an open mind

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A perfect place for trying out what the local Hungarians eat. Do not expect English descriptions of food on display. It is a buffet place where you pick up stuff and pay at the counter. Some suggestions: fried chicken and rice, egg dumplings with meat stew. The food is delicious. Go here to be off the tourist track.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The experience in this bar was AMAZING. The food is really good and the person who served us was super friendly.
For all those who travel to the Buda area or are in the area, I recommend this restaurant if you want to get out of the more typical tourist area and eat local food at a really low price.
From the Fisherman's Bastion it is a very nice way down and it is about a 10 minute walk.
