Érdemes szemügyre venni az ablakok díszes, mázas kerámiadíszeit, valamint az oldalsó bejárat felett gubbasztó baglyokat és az általuk közrefogott címert. Testvériskolája Fiumében található, az Osnovna škola Turnić hajdani elemi népi iskola hasonló építészeti kialakítással rendelkezik.
Based on the plans of Dr. Gyula Sváb Ministerial Advisor, it was built in folk secession style from 1913-15. It is worth looking at the glazed ceramic ornamentation of the windows, the owls hanging over the side entrance and the coat of arms they surround. Located in Rijeka's sister school, the former elementary folk school Osnovna škola Turnić has a similar architectural design.

A "Leányok" felirat felett könyveken trónoló baglyok nem mást juttatnak az ember eszébe, mint a fortélyos mágiák iskoláját.
Pedig valószínűleg valóban egy művészeti iskola, sok-sok művészpalántával.
Az iskola névadó Kittenberger Kálmán - Afrika kutató - nem tudom pontosan hogyan kötődik az itt művelt diszciplínákhoz, de engem nem zavar, szépen cseng ez a név.
Nem találtam adatot az 1913-1914-ben emelt épület pontos stílusáról, de a köztérkép.hu-n népi motívumokat említenek. Egyes elemek engem a szecesszióra emlékeztetnek. Mindenesetre egy különleges, egyedi épület.

The owls, who are enthroned on books above the inscription "Girls," remind us of nothing more than a school of cunning magic.
Yet it is probably really an art school with lots and lots of artist seedlings.
The school's namesake, Kálmán Kittenberger - an African researcher - I don't know exactly how it relates to the disciplines I teach here, but it doesn't bother me, this name sounds nice.
I did not find any data on the exact style of the building erected in 1913-1914, but folk motifs are mentioned on közzt térkép.hu. Some elements remind me of Art Nouveau. In any case, it is a special, unique building.
