★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kodály Zoltán neve szorosan összeforr Kecskemét történelmével, hiszen háromszoros Kossuth-díjas magyar zeneszerző, zenetudós, zeneoktató, valamint népzenekutató, az MTA tagja, majd elnöke volt 1946-tól 1949-ig. A Kodály Zoltán Zenepedagógiai Intézet a Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Akadémia (alapítva: 1975) tagja. A Zenepedagógiai Intézet internacionális, azaz külföldi diákok is tanulhatnak itt. Az évek során számtalan, nemzetközi szinten eredményeket elért zenész-növendék végezte el tanulmányait az intézményben. A követelményrendszer szigorúan megalkotott, de emiatt a végzős diákok tudásának színvonala igen magas.
The name of Zoltán Kodály is closely connected with the history of Kecskemét, as he was a three-time Kossuth Prize-winning Hungarian composer, musicologist, music teacher and folk music researcher, a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and then president from 1946 to 1949. The Zoltán Kodály Institute of Music Education is a member of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music (founded: 1975). The Institute of Music Education is international, ie foreign students can also study here. Over the years, countless internationally accomplished musicians have studied at the institution. The system of requirements is strictly designed, but because of this the level of knowledge of the graduating students is very high.
