Nice fountain.
You can get a drink.
Not too lively.
Statue on a bench to take your photograph with.
Churchtower next to a gymnasium.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This area was filled with local people which was lovely to see. There was some kind of festival on during the evening with music and dancing and performances and it was great to see all the local people together to enjoy it. I would visit this area again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Main square of Keszthely. All concerts , festivals and holidays are held here. There are inforation boards with dates of events. In the information bureau you can get any information and prospects. Many cafes and restaurants. Here begins the pedestrian zone to the Festetics Castle and cycle routes the Zala region.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had come across this great, pedestrianised space while returning from the Balaton on our bikes. The sign explaining the history of this Square was very informative and also written in English. Very clean, well cared for and a nice break from cycling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found it strange that restaurants close at 10 pm (their kitchen at 9!) In the middle of the summer. People still walking on the street and there is no place to sit in. On the other hand the main square has a special feeling due to the nicely restored last century buildings.
