Best Restaurant in Hungary

I	István Szabó on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was nice but we ordered directly from the owner and didn’t check the prices and the menu. At the end paid for a pizza, pasta, 2 beers and 2 wines 12000 huf. Tip was “automatically” added to the bill, which concept by the way I really don’t like as I believe tip should be decided by the guests if they are happy with the service. Unfortunately I didn’t check the bill and the owner took it immediately, after I paid, so I didn’t have the chance to check it. Later I summed up what we consumed and was only around 9000. Unless the “automatic” tip was 35%, the maths doesn’t make it up. And by the way the place was quite empty when we sat in. Not recommended at all.

However, the staff pays very little attention to your dietary requests, or any requests, for that matter. When I found someone that would take my order, I made it very clear that I wanted something gluten and dairy free. I ordered. To my first surprise, my steak was served on a slice of bread. I asked if it was gluten free, of course it wasn't. The mushroom on the side was thickened with flour. They forgot about the lemon and the steamed veggies I asked for. Then I ordered the veggies again, but they were very bland and overcooked (boiled not steamed). Very expensive, too. A generous two stars for the two positive things: they brought water for my dog and the steak was good.

We sat on the outside but the inside is very cozy as well. Price is alright, please don't make any changes in it. The only advice I have is to remove the outdoor plastic table cloth ( as seen in our photo) . Just use the table as it is? It's a beautiful wood table! Also lights around the area to make it cozy would be cool, just to compete with the next door restaurant. Loved the Marcello pizza place!
