A MÁV Start Zrt. május 7-8-án Álomvonat a Balaton körül kirándulást szervezett, amire sikerült jegyet venni. Este az étkezőkocsiban finom vacsora mellett csodálhattuk a balatoni naplementét. Este 9-kor érkeztünk Keszthelyre, itt a 2 órás séta jólesett a parton. A vonathoz való visszaérkezés után játékos vetélkedő volt. A helyesen válaszolók ajándéktárgyakat kaptak. Aki éjfélre elfáradt, visszatérhetett a fekvőhelyes kabinjába, és pihenhetett reggelig. A finom reggeli után Tapolcán egy kincskereső játékban is részt lehetett venni. A város intézményeit, nevezetességeit kellett felkeresni, és válaszolni a feltett kérdésekre. Az első 3 jó megoldást jutalmazták (pezsgő, torta, ajándékcsomag), de azt hiszem, mindenki nyert azzal, hogy játszott és megismerhette Tapolcát. Délben finom búcsúebédet fogyaszthattunk el, és a 16 órára begördülő vonatról jóllakottan, megelégedetten és élményekben gazdagon szállhattak le a résztvevők. Külön köszönet illeti az Utasellátót, hiszen nekik köszönhettük a sok finomságot.
On May 7-8, MÁV Start Zrt. Dream Train organized a trip around Lake Balaton, for which it was possible to buy tickets. In the evening we could admire the sunset at Lake Balaton with a delicious dinner in the dining car. We arrived in Keszthely at 9 in the evening, here the 2-hour walk on the shore was good. After returning to the train, it was a player quiz. Those who answered correctly received souvenirs. He who was tired by midnight could return to his sleeping cabin and rest until morning. After a delicious breakfast, you could also take part in a treasure hunt game in Tapolca. The institutions and sights of the city had to be visited and the questions asked answered. The first 3 good solutions were rewarded (champagne, cake, gift package), but I think everyone won by playing and getting to know Tapolca. At noon we had a delicious farewell lunch and the participants could get off the train, which was running at 4 pm, full of satisfaction and richness of experience. Special thanks go to the Passenger Provider, as we owed them a lot of delicacies.

Bad choice even if it's free! Tens of years bebind the standards. I usually drive a car, because I had bad experiences with the company. I made the bad decision to gave a 2nd chance. I will dirve, even if it would be free to take a train between my home town and the city I am staying. Constant delay because it is too hot, too cold, too dark, too much sun, a few flurries,... whatever. The online ticket system is far from being user friendly. Poor service. Really out of date.

Among Szombathely and Budapest the trains have really really bad conditions (You are forced to smell the toilet's air, there is no air cooler or if there is, it does not work properly)... All train have a surprising, magic power to refuse all type of mobile network connections somehow, even the 2G as well... Come on.. it's 2019... Last but not least, the prices are horrible.. unbeliavble that the Budapest-London airplane ticket's prices are less or equal with this train prices... But i know.. we have to pay for the extra luxury, confortable and of course very very clean seats (Let me prove my last sentece with some pics.)

They make absolutely no effort to inform the customers about any delays or any changes in shedule. What they provide is a terrible service. Shame on you... Brussels is so far away from you...

Top 3 Worst Company in Hungary Award winner for the last 20 years consecutively. It probably is a new record, so congratulations for the abysmal job you guys are doing. The jegy.mav.hu online ticketing site has not been working for international trains for more than a year, reported it multiple times, and got neither a reply, nor any bug fixes in the system. Horrible company and a horrible experience overall.
