First of all I received another car of the one I initially opted for. Though I knew this could happen, it was a little bit of a dissapointment. Anyhow, the car was good and clean. However, upon returning the car, an inspection was carried out and a maximum of 2*2 cm scratch was found on the right forward plastic wheel cap. Rather common if accidentally colliding with the pavement side on parking. I am not sure if this was caused by me or by someone else previously. The ridiculous thing was they charged 49,53 EUR for this "damage". I would surely have given them a couple of more stars if my final feeling was the they are ripping of me off. The initial price was good though, but don't be fooled by it. Chances are high you'll be charged a high price for "damage" infliction even if only slight...... DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Avoid them like plague! They charged me EUR900 for some small scratches on the bonnet. Most other rental companies would consider this regular wear and tear (also a whole new ford galaxy bonnet costs less than a fraction of this). Lots of other issues with them (incomplete terms and conditions, only invoices in german, etc). I've reported them to the local consumer protection authorities - fingers crossed they get shut down.

DON'T GO THERE !!! We had booked a car with friends, so we paid 200 euros for 5 days on their website. Once there, the agency asked us to pay 250 euros more because "we did not pay with a credit card on the internet but a debit card". However, we had a credit card at the agency but impossible to change. So we could either pay the extra 250 euros, or leave and lose the 200 euros we had already paid. It was clearly blackmail. So we rented a car in another agency for 155 euros 5 days. Having been charged the basic 200 euros in this shabby agency, We paid a total of 355 euros (so for 2 cars !!!), less than their 450 euros they wanted. They are scammers as evidenced by the many comments... they are so unlovable i had never seen that before... I recommend the agency U-save Budapest which is much more professional and much cheaper !!!

I returned my rental after hours, unable to inspect with company person. I was not in an accident and didn't notice any damage. Mega drive claimed the front bumper had 3 small nicks and charged my credit card 1100 Euro for damages. Invoice was written in German. Clearly a hyper-inflated repair bill for a little paint touch up. Most rental companies would write this type of thing off as regular wear and tear. Reading some of the other reviews here, underlined my experience that there is some sort of repair bill scam going on with this company. Hopefully someone investigates them. 0 stars review from this customer.

SCAM!!!!!! Do not rent from this company EVER!!!!!! My card was re- charged 3 months after renting with them. They are telling me I received a speeding ticket, I did not. When returning the car it was raining and the staff told me they could not check the car for damage because it was wet. Everything about this company is very shady. They will wait months after you return the car, knowing that you are out of the country, and then try to charge you for various BS charges. I have been to Hungary 5 times and have never had an issue with any other company. THIEVES!!!!!! They do not deserve any stars for a rating!

Don’t ever consider this company even if they seemingly offer attractively low prices. You can be sure that they will earn the profit with fabricated accusations of damages especially when returning the car outside of hours when they are supposed to check later...We had the worst experience with them, ending up paying around 900 € for alleged damages that we were not responsible for. I am Hungarian, we are often renting cars with other companies when visiting Budapest and never ever had any issues or such a poor experience. As I have learnt from other reviews this is built in their business model and they don’t have any ethics whatsoever, they go for ripping you off when you are out of the country and it is too late to prove your right. Deserve 0 stars.

STAY AWAY from this agency. I had the worst experience ever with this agency. They lure the customers with low prices which do not include any coverage and at the time of the car pick-up, if you want to add some coverage, you end-up paying more than any other car rental company. The worst part is that the rental form of the car, which describes the car status at the time of the check-in is not correct. They intentionally neglect some scratches and bumps. Now imagine that you pick-up the car at night or in bad visibility conditions (imagine picking up the car at 6pm in Budapest airport when is already full dark and most likely -3 degrees). Imagine also that you trust the good faith of the rental agency and you assume that they have marked already all the scratches. Unfortunately they don't mark all the existing scratches, so when you came back to drop the car and you are damn sure that nothing happened to the car, they will accuse you of damages that are not listed in the check-in form. They do that so systematically and in such a bad faith, that they even marked damages on the left side of the car, but charged me for damages on the right side. Long story short, they charged me for almost 900 Euro damages (just below the deductible) and unfortunately I got tricked by the circumstances. Stay away from them!

Opened on time for my 8am pick up but forced me to buy their personal insurance at outrageous price (250 euro) even though I had my purchased my own personal insurance through a local reputable company. They know that people on holiday are going to take their insurance instead of ruin a trip, this kind of strong arming should be illegal.
