A Megyeri Csárda története

E terület mellett, ahol a csárda áll, már az ókorban is jelent?s közlekedési útvonal húzódott. Ásatások emlékei bizonyítják, hogy ez a vidék egykor a rómi "LIMES" láncszeme volt. A mai csárda környékén er?dítések helyezkedtek el és itt állt az ?rtorony is.

A XV.sz.írásos emlékei szerint a megyeri terület a váci káptalan birtoka, majd a törökvész után 1695-t?l Újfalusi János földbirtokos tulajdona. Feltehet?en ekkortájt létesült itt valami csárdaépület.

A XIX.századtól Károlyi gróf hitbizományi birtoka Újmegyer település, ez a vidék, ahol fejlett sz?l?m?velés folyik.

A mai csárda f?épületéhez a XVIII-XIX. Században istálló és beszálló fogadó tartozott. A Dunai oldalon ma is látható a lebontott szárnyépület ajtó- és ablakíveinek maradványa. A Pestre igyekv? fels?magyarországi parasztok a csárda Északi kapuján érkeztek, majd itt megpihenve a Déli vagy a Pesti kapun keresztül folytatták útjukat.

A betyárvilágról szóló színes hagyomány az tartja, hogy a pénzével hazatartó paraszt sokszor nemcsak pénzét és csinos feleségét, de még az életét is a becsali csárdában hagyta.

1918-ban Károlyi gróf a csárdát több más ingatlannal együtt az "Egyesült Izzó" részére áruba bocsátotta.

B	Balazs Szalavics on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Years ago I been there at very last time. I didnt loose my mind but it was okay, little bit overpriced. Now, I tried to just run in I wanted some soup and dessert. I ordered catfish soup (my favorite) and cottage cheese dumplings. I asked before 2 times (to make it sure) is the soup made not from the "african" "fake" catfish cause I hate the taste of it. The waiter answered each time its 100% the "grey" wild catfish. I ordered to go cause I been alone and wanted to eat at home. I noticed at home the soup almost empty there was the fake african catfish and the "slices" are thin like the paper. I was very upset but was super hungry and I ate it. The taste of the liquid was not bad. After I started to unpack the dessert and noticed it a bull*t too. The dumpling were untasty almost nothing sour cream and sugar on the top, and cottage cheese almost nothing inside, only the flour. For this money in the citycentre in not too fancy but good places I can eat good food which contains what I order and tasty, furthermore the waiter dont fk me out if I ask something two times, or if he dont know will ask the chef. Im very wroth that I paid for this.. I strongly dont recommend this place :(
