Best place for integration into Hungarian culture.. With free language lessons for both beginners and advanced

Menedék is helping people who arrive in Hungary looking for help. There work, especially with children, is remarkable. They have a large number of volunteers who deserves all the recognition possible.

I was born in Hungary from a Hungarian Mother and Yemeni father. My Dad lived and studied in Hungary then we moved back to Yemen for work. During those years he introduced lot of Hungarian companies to yemen in the 1980-s from Ikarus to Farming.. ..... My parents got divorced with mutual agreement.. Since the war in Yemen my dad moved to Hungary and managed to bring in his new family and my half brother and sisters. Since his political role and views several of his friends were assassinated and he was a target in Yemen. Moving to Hungary was a question of life and death.. The process and the handling of his application asylum was humiliating given his age and relation to Hungary. in the end he was only given "Oltalmazott" status with strict requirements and weekly checks even though our family agreed to provide for him and his family accommodation and food. When my 21 years old half sister's residence permit expired in 2020 she was told to leave Hungary back to yemen as "everything is safe" there... long story short.. the Hungarian immigration policy is very hostile to immigrants even with ties to Hungary and Menedék-Migránsokat Segítő Egyesület or Helsinki Bizitsag were doing their best to help people in this difficult situation we are very grateful for all the help despite the very hostile anti-immigrant or non-profits..policy of the country..

I am an immigrant in Hungary. It saddens me to see these bad reviews given by arrogant people with baseless negative opinions that are not even about this organization. I have experience with this organization, they're wonderful and really helpful. Non-profit organizations are really valuable for people like me. Through them I was able to find Hungarian language lessons that really helped me and now I can have small conversations with nice Hungarians on a day to day basis. Thank you for all your effort Menedék!
