★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good natural reserve for hiking. There is a wooden lookout tower for a nice view and information boards describing various plants, animals and birds on the reserve. It is surrounded by commercial plantation. Nice parking at the railway station adjacent to it.

Even at the end of winter you can see many different types of birds, and the marsh from above when you are on top of the lookout tower (true as said before, its steps are very steep). There are benches scattered around, bins, illustrative panels, all in good order. There are many big trees and I managed to climb one to get even another view. In one direction you can see the villages in the distance. Other than that, a lot of different paths, with trees, with reeds and without, in a very relaxing countryside. I came by train from Budapest and I must say the directions from the station (Rakoskert) to reach it were really clear: road signs and then symbols on trees. A real adventure which I recommend. I'll make sure to be back in the summer.
