★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peacefull place, with opportunity of hiking and fishing. Swamp turtles living there. Little bit messy with very small amount of garbage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since Hungary's capital has very few inland bodies of freshwater, Lake Naplás may be the premier birding spot in Budapest, especially when it comes to waterbirds. More than 200 species have been spotted in the area, grey herons (Ardea cinerea), little bitterns (Ixobrychus minutus), mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) and other waterbirds abound and are readily observed from the roadway that borders the lake. Catch the right day in the fall or winter, and you might catch a glimpse of black-throated loon (Gavia arctica). Not far from the lake is a large, elevated lookout tower built to enhance viewing of the whole area of this nature preserve. This post offers a commanding view of the surrounding woodlots and wetland areas, and on a good day, raptors such as common buzzards (Buteo buteo) and common kestrels (Falco tinnunculus) can be observed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is nice but there is no any infrastructure. No public toilett, no warm food just ice cream and caffe. And there is no any public transport, except bus 46, 146 every half hour. Even that one is far.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lake and its surroundigs are beautiful at all seasons. It is the perfect place if you want to relax in the nature. There are many tracks to discover and plenty of spots around the lake to sit down for a snack or just to enjoy the view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Services could be extended and improved, nothing really to do here and I've seen better views. But the place has great potential and love to see the site developing into a truly enjoyable lake+forest

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The little lake is a beauty! You can walk alongside, but also on many paths to/from it. I got a beautiful view of it from the nearby newly opened lookout tower, too. There are new benches just on the lake, with nice docks. Unfortunately, at the moment there's no shadow there, so you are totally under the sun! Good for sunbathing I suppose, but we had to go inside the forest just behind to breathe and take a break.
