A Katonai Emlékpark Pákozd – Nemzeti Emlékhely az 1848. szeptember 29-i, pákozd-sukorói csata tiszteletére és emlékére, 1951-ben állított Obeliszk környezetében került kialakításra a Mészeg-hegyen Pákozdon.
A Katonai Emlékpark fejlődése 2002-ben kezdődött meg 11 szervezet összefogásával, majd az Európai Unió pályázati támogatása által 2008-tól jelentősen felgyorsult.
Jelen formájában az Emlékhely 2010-ben nyitotta meg kapuit és célja, hogy bemutassa az 1848-ban alakult Magyar Honvédség történetét, az elmúlt 170 év főbb katonai eseményeit és emléket állítson e korok ismert és ismeretlen katonahőseinek.
Ha körülnéz, egy csodálatos – a Velencei-tó és a Velencei-hegység között fekvő - földrajzi környezetet, s benne egy szépen kialakított parkot lát számos emlékművel, kiállítási felülettel és interaktív lehetőséggel.

Although it would be good to have more cannons that can be touched and climbed by youngsters. (I'm sure that military have some retired stuff on stock...)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A short but well-designed summary of the Hungarian military history on a beautiful hill. Exhibitions in buildings, a cafeteria, interesting outdoor facilities, such as cannons, a T-34 tank from 1956, a trench remembering the first and the second world war, etc. It is worth spending here 2-3 hours, the view form the hilltop in itself is enough justifying the visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think this park is a great opportunity missed. It is a beautifully maintained park in a beautiful environment. As a national memorial park however it is just not good enough. Most of the collection is behind the glass kind of display with a lack of interaction. I think these kinds of displays are a bit outdated. People need stuff they can touch and experience. For example I love to see display of vehicles, checkpoints, bunkers, etc and sort of experience the life of the troops. I believe with a bit more contribution from the Hungarian Defense Forces this park could easily be a proper Military Memorial Park.
