"A szobor először a Vág folyó Dunánál lévő torkolatánál, egy régi fahídnál volt elhelyezve. Jelenlegi helyére Komárom rendőrkapitánya helyezte 1909-ben. A szobor építményének belső falán műemléki feltárások láthatók. Az építmény oldalfalára Koppánymonostor 2. világháborúban elesettek emléktábláját helyezték el."
