A dolgozók annyira lojálisak a kormányrendelethez (miszerint 9-11 kozott csak 65éven felülilek mehetnek be) hogy több mint negyed órát kellett a a bolt előtt állnom, úgy, hogy a miután a szemkontanktust is felvették velem, egyikük sem vette a fáradtságot, hogy megkérdezze mit is szeretnék...miközben tulajdonképpen be sem kellett volna mennem, mert csak egy elkészült szemüvegért jöttem! GRATULÁLOK!!!!
The workers are so loyal to the government decree (that only people over the age of 65 can enter between 9-11) that I had to stand in front of the store for more than a quarter of an hour, so that after the eye contact was taken with me, none of them took the trouble to ask what I want to ... while I didn't actually have to go in because I only came for a finished pair of glasses! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Bevittem a szemüvegem mert kissé eldeformálódott erre egy fogóval akarta helyrehozni az eladó. Ha lenne melegítő az üzletben erre nem lenne szükség. Ez barbárság. Közben már itthon probálgattam és lassan vissza is nyeri a formáját. De sajnos el kell menjek egy olyan üzletükbe ahol van ilyen. Egy másik üzletükbe meg kinevettek mondván ez nem segít anélkül hogy egy pillantást is vetett volna rá. Vegyenek melegítőt ne fogóval akarja megoperálni ráadásul elhasználva a garanciámat.
I took my glasses on because the seller wanted to fix it a little deformed with a pair of pliers. If there was a heater in the store this would not be necessary. This is barbarism. In the meantime, I've tried it at home and it is slowly regaining its shape. But unfortunately I have to go to one of their stores where there is one. They laughed at another of their stores saying it wouldn’t help without even taking a look at it. Buy a heater do not use pliers you want to operate in addition to using up my warranty.

If you are looking for any kind of advice on getting the right glasses for you, avoid this place like the plague. I went here to get my first pair of glasses in April, 2018. Because I wanted them to be sunglasses as well, I was told some frames were not suitable. They sat me down and showed me three or four frames, of which, with no experience in such matters, I chose one that I thought I liked. They then proceeded to sell those to me without any further ado, and I had to wait two weeks to pick them up. The first night out wearing them, everybody told me they were obviously much too big for me, some having a good laugh about it. Apparently, my eyes are very close together, and while your pupils are supposed to be in the centre of the lens, my pupils in these glasses are located at about 25% from the inside edge, so a full quarter of the lens width off centre. Therefore, they greatly exaggerate the closeness of my eyes. So I went back to the shop and at first, after quite some pushing, they took responsibility and said I would get a new pair in two more weeks (which would be 12000 Ft more expensive, which I agreed to). Then, one week later I got a call to go back to the shop, and they started saying all they could do is cut the existing lenses and fit them to another frame. I was very much against this, because, as you can read online, this makes the lenses less impact resistant, and it is tricky to fit the optical centre to new frames (as you can imagine, I wasn't inclined to place much trust in their claims the optical centre would be correct at this point). Also, because the existing frames are wide, but not very tall, the only frames they had that the lenses could be resized to fit, were cheap, of poor quality, and not at all to my liking (and obviously, they weren't going to reimburse me the difference between those and the expensive frames I had already purchased, which I understand they would also take back). At the store's reception, and around the store, there is an advertising feature with a smiling face with 100% for eyes, and two words written around the edge meaning the equivalent of "Satisfaction Guaranteed". So I said, l'm not 100% satisfied, and I will accept either replacement, suitable glasses, or my money back. However, apparently, 100% satisfaction guaranteed doesn't really mean satisfaction guaranteed at all at Ofotért – what it means is a guarantee of only that the lenses are anatomically and optically correct, but not "aesthetically" – which is what they claim the fault with my eyes not being centred in the lenses is. I called the head office, and somebody else told me the same, and we argued for quite some time about what he explicitly claimed several times over: that even if the assistant had recommended the oversized frames, they cannot at all be held responsible for that, and that it is not even their responsibility to advise the customer aesthetically, and that this is a perfectly ethical position. Finally, I went back to the shop to speak with the store's boss, and she only fed me more of the same. They also offered to sell me a new pair at 50% of the full cost, but without all of the standard discounts they gave on the cost of the existing pair, they would have been 75% of the cost of the existing ones. I would hazard a guess that their markup is actually more than 50%, so in effect, would have represented more profit for them. They also advised me to try other Ofotért shops to see if they had any other suitable frames, but in the biggest store in the centre of town, there were only again two cheap and quite ugly frames that were otherwise not taller than the existing lens, and so not suitable. What I noticed in this search as well, was that I could only find a couple of frames that are actually wider than the one they sold me. Now, it seems, I wasted 48000 Ft., and that was all my fault (the stupid customer who knows nothing about glasses aesthetics). So thanks Ofotért, yes, you got my money, but I'm going to tell this story as far and wide as I can, you be sure of that.
