A traditional winery in the vineyards of Kethely, run by a Swiss. There are different wines of course in price gradations, the wines I taste are all honest, fruity-dry and priced attractive. As everyday drinking wine larger containers (cans up to 20 liters) are sold, my favorite wine is Balatoni vörös, a successful red cuvee with a lot of body. You can taste the sun ... The wine sales at the farm (all the way back, the dogs are friendly) takes place from morning to afternoon.

Since writing my very first opinion and uploading the first pictures, this morning (September 25, 2020) I refilled the plastic cans in the picture for the third time! Well, they didn't fill the same ones, they replaced the empty one with a full one. The content is just as fine now .... (23.10.2019) We arrived without prior notice and notification or appointment. This isn't a very polite thing, I know, but I wasn't sure if the contact information on the website was correct ... I have known and regularly buy Old Baglas wines in stores for about 25 years. In agreement with my partner, rosé has been our favorite since the beginning. We haven't found our favorite wines in the usual place for a few years, and the rumors were about bad news, as far as the producer is concerned. But what we love is what we look for .... so using the internet we searched for it and found the place where our favorite wine is made in a short way .... We couldn’t miss a visit! It was time this week ... and we got in the car to go for the Rose of Baglas. It's very easy to get there, although GPS helped, but we would have gotten there without it! There is a nice large parking space in front of the winery, so parking with all vehicles seems to be solved. The building looks the way it is, but one comes here for the wine and not for the architectural sights, although that 1773 vintage deserves respect. The owner, although not known to be Hungarian, speaks our language, so there is no problem with the trial, the tasting and the purchase. There are people around him who can only communicate in German, but luckily that wasn’t a problem either ... after the farmer came up, we received fair and fair service and quickly tasted the produce that affected us, which is by no means the full range. In the end, we opted for four types of wine (although we went there for only one) and bought enough of each to make sure it was enough ... we chose it from pre-dispensed, sealed, weighed cans and bought it for half a third of the store price. The cans only have to be paid once, they can be refilled later ... of course the price of the noble nectar still has to be paid! With the greatest possible friendship, I recommend the wines of Old Bagbagl to everyone.

White wine 5, rose 3, red wine 4. The owner gives me nice and decent information. Worth a visit. The atmosphere of the old building and the view of Lake Balaton is fine.
