★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Palatinus-házak néven ismert lakóházak 1911-ben épültek, a tervező Vidor Emil (1867-1952) műépítész. A nevüket onnan kapták, hogy azokat a telkeket, amelyekre épültek, korábban József nádor ("a palatinus") kapta a tulajdonában lévő Margitszigetért cserébe. A szecessziós jellegű épületek polgári lakásaiban olyan modern szolgáltatások voltak, mint pl a központi porszívó és a fürdőszobákban a Duna alatt csővezetéken átvezetett margitszigeti termálvíz folyt a csapokból.
 Known as the Palatinus Houses, the houses were built in 1911 by architect Vidor Emil (1867-1952). They got their name from the fact that the land on which it was built was formerly given to Palatine Joseph ("the palatine") in exchange for the Margaret Island he owned. The civilian flats of the Art Nouveau buildings had modern services such as the central vacuum cleaner and the Margaret Island thermal water from the taps in the bathrooms under the Danube.
