I’ve been here several times in recent years, (on foot, by bike and by car as well) so I can see the changes as well, not just the current state. The area around the lake is developing nicely, but the lake itself .... is a bit neglected. This is not the first time I have seen very little water in it. Just as there are always few visitors! Because there's really no crowd here. Parking is solved, there is a public toilet .... at the edge of the forest there is a potty, but there is also a cultured version in the newly built cottage, as there was also a buffet in this house when I was here. (I wasn’t inside because all the necessary supplies were in my backpack, so it wasn’t clear if the weekend was a specialty buffet or a regular service) The fenced area north of the lake is reminiscent of a venue for equestrian races, with its white fence and electrical boxes, and a boom well in the middle. Great Plain Feeling .... to Zselic ’. There is an oven here, a cauldron and a bacon fire place, but I didn't see firewood, so it has to be brought (from home, into the woods)! There is running water (which is drinkable), benches, and tables, nice rain gutters .... and endless silence. And the mosquitoes .... which you have to be prepared for, because they can ruin your getaway! Animals and birds, unfortunately not very common ..... all afternoon we saw a songbird and a water bird, but we didn’t hear any! Nearby (also within walking distance from here) is the Star Park (with many programs and sights) and the sensational panoramic lookout tower, which is about 2-3 km away, but within a kilometer there is also the Dugás Fountain, a campfire site and the Forest Railway Memorial. .... but here it is surrounded by forest, good air, silence. Up to a full day, but at least one afternoon program, but also suitable for several days ....!

Pleasant little place on Lake Ropoly. It is a long way to go, if the hot August from Sunday-all-closed Gálosfa, the same nowhere-nothing-eating through Simonfa, reaches the only lake buffet near and far in the tickle of the beautiful forests, hills and rest areas. It is a great pleasure for the Blue Tour wanderer to rinse off the dust of the long journey with a cold buffet, which is cherry and IPA. Next to him, the ice cream and chocolate glide especially well in the great heat, sitting on the shady bench of the resting house, killing, stretching, trembling, drinking, swallowing, kushad, snoring like a blazing sun in the powernip. Then, in half-snoring, he throws his half-eyed man out of the runaway swearing of the wasp-scared man into the miraculous little lake, in which the piers, like the Giant, line up in an incomplete denture, waiting to be bitten, in solitary solitude. From here, the Zselic Star Park is just a big stepping stone - known only in a real pub, and what the buffet here has left out - but about that later. Now the wanderer, gathering his stifled power into his sweat, saddles up, but only runs to a prolonged thirsty-horse-win, and re-entangles his limp legs and sheds another kilometer in this beautiful wooded, hilly valley landscape in the direction of Zselickisfalud.

The area itself is breathtaking, but the lake, which once understood more beautiful days, offers a depressing sight when it is almost completely dry.

VERY BEAUTIFUL, WORTH VISITING HERE.

Had the lake not dried up, it would have been beautiful. So it's just "nice."

Lake in a wonderful environment, but water was barely there when we went there.

Wonderful location, limited mobile availability so almost complete peace of mind! ;) Take the time, it's worth it!
