Ordered Ruszwurm kremes that everyone else ordered. The cake tasted good. Very creamy. However, before I could finish it, the creaminess reached my limits and made me feel sick. I wish they made the filling layer thinner so there wouldn't be waste. One thing I didn't like is they mandated 15% service fee regardless how much you are satisfied with their service. This practice just doesn't encourage the server's to go above and beyond to EARN tips. To me, the service was just ordinary and didn't justify 15% service fee which exceed the customary 10% upper limit in Hungary.

A great pastry shop in the Buda region of Budapest. It is quite small but it has tables outside too. It can get very busy and you may have to wait in order to be seated, but the staff is very polite and helpful. We tried the Ruszwurm cream cake, black forest cake, apple strudel and some lemonades, all delicious! Highly recommended!

One of the worst cake I’ve ever had. I had the one with crispy caramel on top. It wasn’t fresh and overly sweet. Very dry and tasteless. We were 3 friends and non could finish it so we had to throw it away. I was expecting a lot more than such a place with history.

A gem of a bakery! It’s a traditional and historic pastry shop on the Buda side (a hundred meters from Matthias Church) famed for being the oldest one in the city. Their cakes and pastries are exquisite and not too sweet, while the service is excellent. A must-try whenever in Budapest!

We came here twice for the delicious cream cake, it’s so light and fluffy! All of the cakes are tasty and definitely worth a try. Service was excellent and the price is affordable. I definitely recommend!

Nice and tasty. Fee for service is included in bill. Warm and food was delicious so we are thankfull as world became nicer after eating in your cozy place! We paid no more than 4 euro for cake and tea (one teapot for both of us)

Incredibly crowded and tiny seating space indoors but the queue moved fairly quickly. Lovely interior decor that dates from the 19th century. We had a glass of delicious wine and one cottage cheese and one cherry strudel. Service is quick-fire although once served you’ll have to flag the waitress or waiter again for attention. Not the friendliest but with this volume of people I wouldn’t be either!

It is a very nice option for a short stop. We ordered two Hungarian traditional sweets which were very delicious. Especially the Ruszwurm cream cake was extremely fresh! We stayed outside but inside you could easily see the big variety of sweets that you could order. Prices were reasonable.
