Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge - Budapest

Very centrally located hotel excellent spa and swimming pool rooms need some renovation. Generally enjoyed my stay and the personnel were very helpful. Adjacent to the chain bridge walking distance to most city attractions. The spa has a wonderful swimming pool and a very modern equipped gym. Sauna and relaxation area also worth it. Breakfast offers a wide selection of warm and cold dishes oriental recipes and fresh fruit juices. Would stay again if in Budapest.

This hotel is absolutely amazing in every way. Rooms are the only thing which is quite standard for a few* but in a bathroom you will find an aplliance which looks like a switch and it plays a few different types of music - this is fun. Breakfast is amazing, a pool and sauna very nice, staff is absolutely great and everything works as a charm. But what I found the most appealing was the architecture and interior design - breathtaking! The best hotel I have visited so far and I saw quite a number! Must see, must stay. I simply loved it.

Stayed in a family suite over the Christmas holidays, and loved it. I don't get the mixed reviews. We found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and the hotel dining (breakfast and Paris Cafe) to be great. The TVs in the rooms were a little wonky, but we weren't exactly sitting around watching TV. One thing to be aware of - there's a little casino in the hotel that was fun if you have a little extra time to kill.

An exceptional hotel in an even more exceptional location. We got a room with a river view on the top floor. The view was absolutely incredible. The space was fantastic and served all of our needs. The staff is incredibly attentive to the needs of their guests and will respond in a moments time. The breakfast is a true pleasure each morning. Although we had access to the private area on the top floor, we chose to eat on the club level as the food, staff, and service was impeccable.

We were very lucky in that we had a view overlooking the Danube. This is not just any view, it is THE view to have , especially at night when the castle opposite and the river boats light up. The hotel is large, and busy, but the rooms are quiet and comfortable, with choices of pillows etc there, so there is no excuse for not sleeping well. The restaurant is good with one of the options a Goulash soup for lunch, delightful! A taste of Hungary! Beautifully located amongst the stunning buildings of Budapest, you will enjoy your stay.

at such a difficult period and added to which I was alone in a very quiet hotel, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay. the hotel itself was as I would expect, stylish, clean and although I wasn't able to use (for obvious reasons) has great facilities. the location is perfect for exploring Budapest and the terrace was a perfect place to enjoy a drink with a fantastic view of the chain bridge and the Danube. the best part of my stay were the team, i had less interaction with the reception/housekeeping team but they were efficient, polite and delivered a great service. more than anything, the restaurant and bar team were exceptional. travelling on ones own can be a lonely experience, but i never felt alone during my stay (2 weeks on my own awaiting colleagues to join me), they identified quickly i was alone and made so much effort to welcome and look after me. given the situation they find themselves in, i can only imagine the personal challenges they are facing with the downturn in tourism and guests, on certain days there were no more than 2 guests occupying the bar/restaurant, but any frustration/boredom was never evident and service continued with a smile. i'm already missing Budapest, but if there is a way of showing my satisfaction with my stay, i'm already planning to return when things get back to normal and will be choosing the sofitel for my accommodation.

It was not the first time I chose the hotel's restaurant for dinner. I love the atmosphere! The food is always delicious and the service is excellent! The staff is always smiling, all of them are very helpful. I would like to highlight Jenny's work which was beyond our expectations. When she overheard that we celebrated my father's birthday she made a small surprise for him putting a candle into his dessert. That was very heart touching. She deserves to be honored.

Very fancy caffe bar. Excelent view. Good deserts. Toilet super clean and comfortable
