★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sokan csodálkoznak, miért is van ez az emlékmű a helyén. Nyilván az itt eltemetett katonák (nevek a sírköveken) miatt. Valószínűleg ők is követtek el bűnöket. A halott ellenség ellenben már nem ellenség. A Don kanyarban is vannak magyar katonasírok. Azokat is gondozzák az ottaniak. Remélem, azok is, és ez is megmarad. Egyébiránt ez az emlékmű is a fájdalmas és tragikus múltunk része, emlékeztet a különösen kegyetlen és véres harcokra ebben a térségben. Érdekesség, hogy a szöveg az emléktáblán csak magyar nyelvű, és nincs "Vecsnaja szláva..." - "örök dicsőség...", mint az megszokott máshol. Így őszintébb: küzdelem volt, szenvedés és halál volt, a dicsőségnek nem jut tér.
Many people wonder why this monument is in place. Apparently because of the soldiers (names on the tombstones) buried here. Probably they also committed sins. The dead enemy, on the other hand, is no longer an enemy. There are also Hungarian military graves in the Don bend. They are also taken care of by those there. I hope they do, and it will stay. Incidentally, this monument is also part of our painful and tragic past, reminiscent of the particularly cruel and bloody fighting in this area. It is interesting that the text on the plaque is only in Hungarian and there is no "Vecsnaya Slavic ..." - "eternal glory ..." as usual elsewhere. So it is more honest: there was struggle, there was suffering and death, there is no room for glory.
