★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Hungarian and international cuisine. Loved all my meals here. Breakfast , lunch, dinner and drinks. The staff is epic and the decor is beautiful. Can't say enough good things ... Major props to Spago and Matild.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To be honest, I would give this place 3,5 stars, not 3.
The quality of the food and portions were truly satisfying. I really liked the tuna tartar with wasabi kick, such fantastic combination of flavors, i recommend that one for everyone to try!
Wine list was quite okay, good selection!
Ambience at the place was okay, maybe a bit too dark. Clean, modern style.
But.
Service was not up to the standards for this price range.. Not at all.
It was quite disappointing waiting a lot for our aperitif cocktails, getting all of the starters at the table, sitting there thirsty for 20 minutes, not even getting our water.....
The way of communicaton, manner and politeness troubled us throughout dinner.
Not to mention, wine recommendations from our blonde waitress lacked basic knowledge. Which is -I think - a must at a higher class restaurant.
The cocktails did not amuse us at all, lacked the wow-factor. Feel sorry for the bar, which looks pretty inviting and cool on pictures.
We chose 2 signature Spago cocktails, and both were pretty flat for a high price, I wouldn't try next time.
Something very annoying, and should change immediately: THE MUSIC
Felt like I'm sitting in a pub where people can play Guitar Hero... omg.
It was pretty cringe - mismatch of the decoration, the people, the food, ambience, everything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have very mixed feelings of Spago. The food and the cocktails were great, but we had some unpleasant experience with the service which is not acceptable in this price range. The service was both slow and too fast. The cocktails arrived well after the complimentary meal was served and also we were still eating it when the starters were served. Additionally, we couldn’t decide whether we would liked caviar on our pizza and the waiter suggested to have only half of the pizza with caviar which sounded a good compromise. Although, the price of the pizza was the same as if it was with full caviar, this is not really fair.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful Saturday night dinner in Budapest. Cam and l dressed up and headed to Spago by Wolfgang Puck. The fitout was slick and the cuisine was delicious. Check out the pass and wine cellar. Well worth a visit! Be sure to have the pavlova for dessert.???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not pass up an opportunity to dine here!! Every dish on the menu is incredible. The chef and staff were attentive to my dietary restrictions and modified dishes to meet my gluten free needs. The constant steam of rock n roll also adds to the dining experience!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spago is an exquisite place, located in the centre of Budapest with outstanding quality of food and service. When we have visited, I was transfixed by the classic architecture at the entrance area and then by buzzling open kitchen of the restaurant. Modern, low-key design, makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. The food was beyond perfect. Our group of friends ordered a variety of plates and every single on of us was more than satisfied. The waiters were so friendly and eager at the end for us to try their desserts and they were right! A delicious end note to our wonderful experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's in a beautiful location, with friendly staff, open kitchen, great food. It definitely deserves the 5 stars and the Michelin Guide Recommended restaurants list in 2021. The homemade cocktails are out of this world, one of a kind flavors, worth every penny. And for fine dining the portions are not small at all, we couldn't even try the desserts, because after the appetizer and the main course we were so full, there was literally no room left for desserts. They take good care of you, maybe the appetizers came even too quick because we had no time trying out and digesting the homemade special butter, and breads. The only downside for me, is the loudness of the atmosphere. The restaurant is too open, and because of the big windows and lot of flat walls the sound bounces off easily and it makes it feel a bit too chaotic. You barely can make a conversation with whom you go, because of this.
Definitely going back, even if we are only going for the drinks.
And it was my girlfriends birthday and they gave her a little cake gift which was extremely wholesome and I'll be forever grateful for it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Our waitress was absolutely incredible. She had incredible recommendations on drinks and food. Everything was perfect. It was our last meal out in Budapest and we are so happy with this choice. We were also celebrating our engagement!
