Best cheeses and cold cuts in town. Also they have recently added a selection of rum from different countries, especially from Dominican Republic :D

In the past you could get bigger portion of food and sweets. Unfortunately not any more.

This shop is huge. It has 2 parts, a vegetable - fruit one and a regular one. They have a huge cheese assortment and you can have a taste before buy ( like in Westend countries are normal ). The staff is very kind and professional. The prices are maybe a bit high but it's Buda side of the capital with richer locals...

Higj quality products that you wouldn't find elsewhere, served by very friendly staff. I especially love the produce section. 4 star because the prices are incredibly high.

True to Hungarian form, they told me I could take pictures of the food and then in the middle of snapping the shots, the woman told me the manager said I wasn't allowed to. Why? Who knows...they're Hungarian, that's why. But I digress... The Paprikas Krumpli I had was very, very good and I would highly recommend it. The lasagna that my mom and friend ordered was not as good. Go to Italy for quality lasagna, not Hungary... It's inside a shopping center, so ambiance is not the best, but it was clean and for the most part they weren't rude, so I have to give them an average score. Again, my recommendation for food would be the Paprikas Krumpli...prices are very average for Hungary.

Overall its a good choice if you want a proper cooked traditional meal either to take away or to eat it quickly on the spot. Slightly overpriced but very wide selection. Often long queue at lunch time. Limited offers on a Sunday when market is closed, only the ready-to-eat food counter is open. Market’s bakery is great, cheese and coldcut selection is amazing, fruits and veggies pricey but who wants strawberries in February? If so, its your place.

shelves are messy, the prices are not clear at all, it is very easy to buy something that you wouldn't buy for that price (this is what happened to me actually). The price tags are just dropped mixed into shelves. There were sour creams on the shelves that expired on that day when I was there. I bought Boppe sour cream that can be found in other shops for 780 HUF, but they sell it for 1055 HUF. The clementine that I bought costs 2325 HUF / kg, but they almost dried out completely. I understand this is a delicate shop, but there are a few other ones (also not cheap!) in the city that are still cheaper than this one and provide a good quality service. Extremely overpriced for no reason, and the personnel is not nice either. I would expect much more from a delicate shop.
