★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Impossible not to be impressed by this building, especially as it is surrounded by residential properties in a quiet area. It's just magnificent and extraordinarily well kept. It is gated, so you can't really get close to it, but it is so big that you wouldn't really need it anyway. The are some panels about the synagogue's history, written in Hungarian and English. The Gothic details give it a fairytale look. I didn't quite understand how to enter: even if it was supposed to be open, I found it closed.
