★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant was a really nice surprise - since this was our first time in Gyor. Food is great - the spicy fish soup was the highlight, highly recommended. And I must say, it’s great to find a waiter mastering the English language in Hungary - did not catch his name unfortunately but kudos to him.

Soups were quite good at the beggining but the main dish was served cold, dried and tasted old - it was horrible. Another main dish does not have any taste at all (pasta). The rate on this site is far too much. There are many great restaurants in Gyor but this one is definitely not one of them! Aware!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only reason for giving 3 stars instead of two is that the staff is friendly and welcoming. The food was not good at all. We had a garlic soup - that tasted like made from some powder, fish cracklings - that were a bit soggy, a catfish "paprikás" with cottage cheese pasta - the fish was stale, not salty enough, the pasta overcooked and dull. The fish soup made of catfish that should be the speciality of the place was far worse than expected. Not to mention, the spicy green peppers served on the side were visibly not fresh, neither was the "Erős Pista" (a type of Hungarian spicy pepper mash). All in all, a huge disappointment, the food would be acceptable at a cheap shady roadside canteen maybe, but not on the main street at a place with a decent history. Definitely not recommended.
